Key exchange in Saint-Malo

A staffed handover point for holiday rentals, so no one waits on a doorstep at eleven at night and no key ends up under a plant pot.

For owners and guests

How the handover works

  1. 01

    The owner drops the keys

Bring the set to the counter with the guest name and arrival date. We label it and store it out of sight.

  2. 02

    The guest arrives

Any time between 9am and 8pm, with a name and a booking reference. We check both before handing anything over.

  3. 03

    The keys come back

At the end of the stay the guest returns the set to the counter and you collect it when it suits you.

Each movement is logged with a time and a name, so if a question comes up later there is a record of who took what and when.

Why owners use a counter

Self check-in works until the ferry is late, the code has not been changed, or two guests arrive at the same address within an hour of each other. A physical counter absorbs all of that without a phone call at midnight.

It is also the polite answer for apartments inside the walls, where there is nowhere discreet to fix a key box and the co-ownership rules often forbid one on the facade.

  • No key box on a listed facade
  • No waiting on a doorstep for a delayed guest
  • A spare set on file for lock-outs
  • One address to give every guest, all year

Key exchange questions

Can you hold the keys to my holiday rental?
Yes. Key exchange costs 15 EUR per handover: the owner leaves the keys with us, the guest collects them at the counter with a name and a booking reference.
Where exactly are you?
48 Bd de la République, 35400 Saint-Malo. It is a five minute walk from the train station and about fifteen minutes on foot from the walled city, straight down the boulevard.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card, contactless and cash. You pay when you collect, so there is nothing to sort out when you are in a hurry to catch a train.

Drop your bags, keep your day.

Open every day from 9am to 8pm, a few minutes from the walled city. Message us and we hold a spot for you.
