Luggage storage near Saint-Malo train station

Saint-Malo station has no left luggage lockers. We are the staffed alternative, a five minute walk down Boulevard de la République.

Five minutes on foot

Getting here from the platforms

Leave the station by the main entrance, keep the bus stops on your right and walk down Boulevard de la République. We are on the left at number 48, before the boulevard opens out towards the port. It is flat the whole way, which matters when you are wheeling two suitcases.

Coming off the TGV from Paris, you will be at our counter about six minutes after stepping onto the platform. From there, the old town is a fifteen minute walk along the water.

Why the station itself has nothing

Automatic lockers disappeared from most regional French stations years ago, and Saint-Malo is no exception. Travellers arrive expecting a consigne on the concourse and find a ticket hall, a cafe and no answer.

Cafes and hotels sometimes agree to watch a bag as a favour, but nothing is tagged, nothing is locked and no one is responsible if the shift changes. A staffed counter with numbered tags and a receipt solves the same problem properly, for less than the price of two coffees.

Station questions

Do I need to book in advance?
No. Walk in during opening hours and we will find room for your bags. A quick message on WhatsApp before you arrive simply lets us know how many pieces to expect, which helps on busy summer afternoons.
How long can I leave my bags?
Anything from twenty minutes to a full day. If you need overnight storage between two stays, tell us when you drop off and we will keep your bags until the next morning.
Where exactly are you?
48 Bd de la République, 35400 Saint-Malo. It is a five minute walk from the train station and about fifteen minutes on foot from the walled city, straight down the boulevard.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card, contactless and cash. You pay when you collect, so there is nothing to sort out when you are in a hurry to catch a train.

Drop your bags, keep your day.
